The main issue that deputies discussed with activists from the Mussawa Center and the NGO Dor Moriah was the registration in the Knesset of a lobby aimed at realizing the right of linguistic minorities to receive public and municipal services in their native language: Arabic, Russian, Amharic, etc.<\/p>\n\n<p>It is a vast and complex topic, and this is why it was necessary to form a lobby in the Knesset that would be a tool for engaging experts, activists, and politicians in the task of providing public and municipal services in minority languages.<\/p>\n\n<p>As a result of discussions with MPs Ofer Kasif (United List), Ibtisam Maraana (Avoda), Ghaida Runawi-Zoabi (Meretz) and Gilad Kariv (Avoda), the lobby was supported and the process of its creation entered the phase of gradual implementation.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are linguistic minorities in Israel willing to cooperate with each other to improve their quality of life?This question was answered in the Knesset on October 6.
